DERM / PHILOSOPHY
Healthy skin starts with the right understanding.
No two skin, hair or aesthetic concerns present the same way. A consultation helps determine what is actually going on — and which approach, if any, is appropriate for you.
Our approach →PRACTICE / SCOPE
Three disciplines, one philosophy.
Clinical Dermatology
Diagnosis and long-term management of skin, hair and nail conditions — from acne and eczema to psoriasis, vitiligo and infections.
Aesthetic Dermatology
Dermatologist-led options for appearance-related concerns — planned conservatively, performed medically, reviewed honestly.
Hair Restoration
Assessment-first medical and surgical pathways for hair loss, including PRP / GFC and hair transplantation.

CARE / METHOD
Not every concern needs the same treatment.
Understand the concern
Your history, your skin, your scalp — listened to before anything else.
Clinical assessment
Examination, and tests where relevant, to identify what is actually happening.
Discuss suitable options
What may help, what may not, and what to realistically expect.
Create an individual plan
A considered approach — medical, procedural, or simply watchful care.
A conceptual guide to how consultation is approached — individual care is always decided in person.
Hair & Scalp
Hair restoration begins with assessment.
Hair loss is not one condition. Pattern loss, shedding, patchy alopecia and scalp disease all behave differently — and each has its own appropriate pathway, medical or surgical.
At the clinic, evaluation comes first. Only then are options such as medical management, PRP / GFC or hair transplantation discussed — if they are suitable for you at all.

A clinical introduction
Acne appears when follicles become blocked with oil and dead skin cells, often with inflammation. It may show as comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules, pustules or deeper nodules, on the face, chest or back. Severity, triggers and scarring risk vary widely between individuals — so two people with "acne" may need very different plans.
When to see a dermatologist
- Acne that persists or worsens despite over-the-counter products.
- Painful, deep or cystic lesions.
- Early signs of scarring or dark marks left behind.
- Acne affecting confidence, work or social life.
- Adult-onset or hormonal-pattern acne.
What an evaluation may consider
- Pattern, grade and distribution of lesions.
- Scarring risk and existing marks.
- Triggers — skincare, medication, stress, cycles where relevant.
- Previous treatments and how your skin responded.
Relevant care at the clinic
Care is selected after assessment. Depending on your evaluation, options discussed at the clinic may include:
Questions patients often ask
Usually not. Acne care typically runs over weeks to months, with review points. Plans are adjusted according to how your skin responds.
No. Adult acne is common and often patterned differently. It deserves the same careful assessment, not stronger self-treatment.
Often, yes. Active acne and scarring are managed differently; scar work usually begins once active disease is controlled, and the approach depends on scar type.
Bring a list of what you use to the consultation rather than stopping or adding products on your own. Your dermatologist will advise what to continue.
Home/Treatments
Dermatology, from clinical care to aesthetics.
Five families of care, one standard: assessment first, procedure second. Explore by family, or start from your concern.
Clinical Dermatology
Condition management — diagnosis-led medical care for skin, hair and nail disease.
The clinic's clinical list spans acne, eczema and atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, vitiligo, melasma and pigmentation, fungal and other infections, urticaria, nail disorders, pediatric skin disease and more — published in full by the clinic.
Dermatosurgery
Minor surgical and procedural dermatology, performed after clinical review of each lesion.
Dermatosurgical procedures published by the clinic include mole removal, skin tag and wart removal, nail surgery, sebaceous cyst excision, scar revision, vitiligo surgery and ear-lobe correction, among others.
Aesthetic Dermatology
Appearance-related, dermatologist-led procedures — considered, conservative, medically performed.
From chemical peels and microneedling to botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, skin boosters and thread lifts — suitability is always decided in consultation, never from a menu.
Laser
Laser-based pathways currently offered, with dermatologist assessment of suitability.

LASER / LHR — ARTEMIS PREMIUM
Laser Hair Reduction.
A long-term approach to unwanted hair — laser energy targets the follicle while the skin is protected. Planned, parameterised and reviewed by a dermatologist, not sold as a package.
What it is
Laser hair reduction uses targeted light energy absorbed by the hair follicle, reducing its ability to regrow hair over a course of sessions. It is chosen by patients who want a durable alternative to shaving, waxing and threading.
What it may be considered for
- Unwanted facial or body hair, from upper lip to full body.
- Ingrown hairs and razor irritation from regular shaving.
- Beard shaping and contouring in men, where appropriate.
Treatment areas at the clinic
Areas published by the clinic include, for women: upper lip, chin, full face, forearms, legs, underarms, bikini line and full body; for men: ear pinna, chest and abdomen, cheek and neck for beard shaping, and other areas.
Suitability for any specific area is confirmed during consultation, including skin type, hair characteristics and medical history.
How assessment shapes suitability
Hair and skin type, hormonal factors, medication history and expectations all influence whether laser is appropriate, which settings are used, and what result is realistic. Your dermatologist will also advise when treatment can safely be performed.
What the journey generally involves
Technology at the clinic
The clinic publishes that its laser suite uses Artemis Premium, a USFDA-approved triple-wavelength laser platform. Technology matters — but so does the person setting the parameters.
Questions patients often ask
Laser is best understood as long-term hair reduction. Many patients see durable results after a full course; some may need occasional maintenance. Individual responses vary, and no absolute guarantee is appropriate.
Sensation varies by area and individual — most describe brief warmth or prickling. Comfort measures and appropriate settings are part of planning; describe it as tolerable rather than "painless".
The clinic publishes 6–8 sessions at 4–6 week intervals as a general guide. Your dermatologist will estimate a course for your hair and skin type after assessment.
With appropriate wavelengths and settings, laser can be used across skin types — which is exactly why assessment and parameter selection by a dermatologist matter.

Hair & Scalp
Understand the loss before choosing the solution.
Hair loss has many causes and many answers. At Dr Saly's Skin Solutions, a dermatologist — and hair transplant surgeon — assesses first, then discusses medical and surgical pathways honestly.
HAIR / 01 — EDUCATION
Hair loss is not one condition.
Male and female pattern hair loss, telogen effluvium (stress- or illness-related shedding), alopecia areata, scalp disease, nutritional and hormonal factors — all present as "hair fall", and all are managed differently. This is why the clinic begins with evaluation, not with a procedure.
Medical management
Non-surgical, dermatologist-led therapy for suitable patterns of hair loss — diagnosis first.
PRP / GFC
Regenerative support using growth factors derived from your own blood. The clinic publishes a typical course of monthly sessions for 3–4 months, with optional maintenance.
Hair transplantation
A surgical pathway for suitable candidates, performed by a qualified hair transplant surgeon after planning.
Not every pathway is appropriate for every person. Suitability is established in consultation.
HAIR / 02 — SURGICAL PATHWAY
Hair transplantation, explained plainly.
Hair transplantation moves follicles from a donor area to thinning or bald areas. Two techniques exist: FUT, where a strip of donor skin is dissected into follicular units, and FUE, where follicular units are extracted individually — leaving no linear scar and requiring no stitches at the donor site.
The clinic's published material describes FUE as its extraction approach for suitable patients, with transplanted hair growing like natural hair once established.
What assessment considers
- Pattern, extent and progression of loss.
- Donor area density and scalp condition.
- Age, expectations and medical history.
- Whether medical therapy or PRP / GFC should precede or accompany surgery.
The procedure journey
The clinic publishes that new growth typically begins within a few months, with fuller results developing over 6–12 months; individual timelines vary.

Full profile →HAIR / 03 — QUESTIONS
Hair restoration, asked plainly.
No. Candidacy depends on the pattern of loss, donor availability and other factors. Some patients are better served by medical therapy or PRP / GFC — which is exactly what assessment determines.
Yes. Medical management and PRP / GFC are part of the clinic's hair pathways, alone or alongside surgery where suitable.
It is performed under local anaesthesia with comfort management; the clinic describes it as minimally invasive. Individual experience varies and is discussed before you decide.
The clinic publishes that growth typically begins in 2–3 months with fuller results over 6–12 months. Timelines vary between individuals.
Transplantation can be performed across straight, wavy and curly hair; the final plan — including hairline design — follows assessment.
Home/About
Dermatology with a human point of view.
A specialist private clinic in Vadakara — clinical dermatology, dermatosurgery, aesthetic dermatology and hair restoration under one considered philosophy.
ABOUT / 01 — PHILOSOPHY
Beauty lies in healthy skin.
The clinic's founding philosophy is simple and has never changed: beauty has no skin tone — it lies in healthy skin. That idea shapes everything here. Treatment is not about chasing a advertised ideal; it is about understanding your skin, scalp or hair and caring for it properly.
Which is also why the clinic resists the treatment-menu model of dermatology. Consultation comes first. Diagnosis before procedures. Honest expectations before any plan. Where a concern needs no intervention, you will be told so.
From basic consultations to dermatosurgery and hair transplantation, the clinic publishes a comprehensive scope of care — delivered with the discipline of a specialist practice and the warmth of a local one.
