The Carriage
It moves when you move — and teaches you how.
VYAYAMAM is a movement studio in Calicut — equipment Pilates, strength and yoga. You don’t need to understand it all before you begin. You just need to experience it.
Most people arrive the same way — a reel, a recommendation, a quiet curiosity. And with curiosity come questions: what is a reformer, will I keep up, is this meant for me. We answer all of it, gladly.
But the honest answer isn’t a caption. It’s an hour on the equipment. So we don’t ask you to decide first. We ask you to move.
See how the journey works ↓You don’t need to arrive convinced, flexible, or even sure. You need an hour and a little curiosity. The questions everyone asks — answered the way we’d answer them on WhatsApp. Honestly.
Neither does most of the room on day one. We start with the basics and stay with you until they feel obvious. Not knowing is not a barrier here — it’s the usual beginning.
A bed-like frame with a moving carriage, springs and straps. It supports you, resists you and guides you. You’ll understand it within minutes — with your body, not from a description.
Sessions are guided and paced to each person. Effort is personal. Nobody is performing, and nobody is watching you perform.
No. The equipment meets you exactly where you are — that is the point of it. You begin there, and you build from there.

Stop 01 — The Scroll
A reel, a friend, a question mark. Everyone starts by hearing about it.

Stop 02 — The Conversation
Timings, doubts, what to expect. We answer everything — patiently, on WhatsApp.

Stop 03 — The First Session
Then you step onto the reformer. And words stop doing the work.

Stop 04 — The Decision
Only after the session do you decide. That’s the whole point.
Skip nothing. Start with the experience.
The reformer looks like a machine. It behaves like a partner — supporting, resisting, listening. It’s the reason a first session here feels unlike anything you’ve tried.

It moves when you move — and teaches you how.

Resistance that meets you exactly where you are today.

Held, without holding on.

Where every first session begins.

Quiet, considered, built for focus.
Three doors into the same intention. Most people begin with the equipment; the rest find their own way in.
Guided sessions on the reformer and apparatus. Precise, patient, and where most people begin.
Where most beginDeliberate strength work that supports movement — measured, never shouted.
Quiet intensityBreath, balance and the space between efforts. The practice that steadies everything else.
Breath & balanceThere’s no membership conversation before your first session. No pressure, no script. That’s a promise we built the studio on.
Trial first — always.
Come as you are. We’ll show you around — the room, the reformer, how everything works.
A short, plain-language orientation. What the equipment does, what the hour looks like.
You move. We guide, adjust and pace the session to your body — not the other way around.
Somewhere mid-session, it clicks. Movement stops being explained and starts being felt.
Afterwards, we’ll share how it went. Then the decision is yours — no pressure, no follow-up script.
Try the studio first. Membership comes later, and only if it’s right.
We genuinely love teaching first-timers. Most people start from zero here.
Every doubt answered patiently. Then the movement does the convincing.
Pilates is having a moment. We’re building for the decades, not the algorithm.
A husband-and-wife studio. If something ever feels off, you’ll hear it from us first.
VYAYAMAM is run by a husband-and-wife team in Calicut. They didn’t start this studio to ride a trend — they started it because they believed this city deserved a place where movement is taught honestly, patiently, and well.
They’ll likely be the ones who greet you at your trial.
[ A short note from the founders will live here — written by them, not for them. ]
Movement, now in Calicut.
Reformer Pilates is still new to this part of the world. We’d like to change that — one first session at a time.
Notes from the studio floor — sessions, details, small quiet victories.
